You are a downhill or freeride mountain biker who is confident riding all types of terrain including large jumps, drops and narrow elevated trail sections. You definitely will want a solid double suspension bike in great working order for that camp.

Golden is blessed with Mount 7, one of the finest and most challenging downhill systems in Canada. Mount 7 was host to Psychosis, an annual event which evolved into the steepest, longest and fastest downhill mountain bike race in the world.
KICKING HORSE MOUNTAIN RESORT
With some 27 trails on the mountain, there are lots of choices. For the serious downhill rider, there is no shortage of twisty single tracks and plunging downhill descents. Rugged and gnarly, Kicking Horse demands focus and commitment from any rider.
The Columbia Valley’s premier downhill mountain biking destination -- outside of the Panorama Mountain Bike Park -- Mt. Swansea offers black diamond terrain to test expert DH riders. Plenty of challenges await on the seven DH trails, including the steep descents of the “Booty Call” trail, the rocky, sandy slopes of “Gravy Train,” and plenty of wide open fun on “Hula Girl”.
FERNIE ALPINE RESORT
FAR has a variety of 37 bike trails that offers something for everyone. Wide machine-made flowing trails for beginner / intermediate riders, challenging steep and technical single track trails for advanced / expert riders.
Backyard distance from Calgary in Kananaskis Country lies Moose Mountain. This less known destination would challenge the most daring with its network of fast rugged volunteer built DH single tracks. Moose always have a bigger drop, a longer gap or a rockier line for you to master.
